How Does That Even Happen?

Raise your glass!  I am happy to report that one of my clients’ sales increased 200% in the first two months of 2024 compared to 2023.  How did that even happen?

Since you asked, at the beginning of the first quarter of 2023, my client knew they needed to change their print environment.  Here’s what they did!

First, they strengthened their company by establishing a Leadership Team to align day-to-day operations strategically.  The Team met weekly, working from a live task list for collaboration and accountability, which was the start of something rewarding.  Previously, needed tasks would be introduced. However, the follow-through and follow-up were shotty. 

Second, they aligned their customer list revenue-wise from the top down. So, they dedicated time and energy to secure additional business from the top layer of loyal customers. This proved to be worth the effort, increasing their monthly sales enormously and consistently.

Third, and sometimes the most challenging decision, my client terminated some underperforming employees who were not mission—or vision-driven. They realized that to incorporate additional projects into their organization and workflow, they would need positive and committed employees. The CEO mentioned last week that he now has the best staff he has had in years.

refreshIn closing, sometimes it is hard to admit that the flotation device you have utilized for years is losing air.  The bigger problem is when you know it and do nothing to change the dreaded outcome. 

Look at your printing environment; your business climate might need a refresh!
