Is It Time for a Check-Up….. Of Almost… Unlimited Resources…

By Sid Chadwick

I’ll long remember a treasured Client, located in Southwest Virginia, who could count the 1st nickels he ever earned, asking me to put our treasured Intellectual Resources on our Website – at “No Charge.”

Today, we generally count 200+ visitors to “chadwickconsulting.com” – every month, where we’ve offered significant (but not all) internal Resources – FREE…!

mapNOTE: About half of those monthly visitors are from outside the U.S., like Pakistan, Australia, India, France, UK, Denmark, Turkey, Saudia Arabia, Canada, Kenya, Panama, Singapore, Ukraine, Germany, Ireland, Paraguay, Luxembourg, Norway, Philippines, China and the Netherlands.

My opinion is they are “mining” the over 800+ published articles (available to be downloaded/copied) – most of which are courtesy of us – and American Printer, and publishers Andy & Julie Plata.

Fourteen years ago, Dr. Jerry Waite of the University of Houston adopted my Proposal and Case Studies, utilizing Databases for solving business problems, that became a required course for students wanting to be accepted into their Graphic Communications Program. The Course grew to ten Classes a year, taught by Mark Hargrove, an outstanding Instructor. This month, we are proposing a different Curriculum, focused on Sales Training, for a premier West Coast school. (Members of their faculty are privately supportive.)

This week we forwarded 19 detailed, economical Business Development-oriented Training Programs to 13 APAN Association Presidents (Americas Printing Association Network), previously made exclusively available to PICA (Printing Industries of The Carolinas), that included several options that guaranteed the Client – over $500,000 of Additional Business Opportunities (References are available).

Those 19 Training Programs were also copied to our Chadwick Consulting CEO Peer Group, which we facilitate, with some Members participating for over 20 years. (We lost 3 Members over the last 5-years (to Private Equity) – whose profitability put them in the Top 5%... ! Most (not all) of our current Members are preparing their next-generation owners to take over, and “Keep the Company…and its profits & Cash Flow….!” (We believe our systems of “Member Collaboration and Publishing,” in its entirety, are unique.)

Inside Sales AcademyOur Flagship Training Program, our 15-Week Inside Sale Academy, now in its 7th cycle, has graduates selling over six figures a month to new customers, and neglected (house account) customers (some months – multiple six figures).  This is not a “feel-good training program” – but one requiring 3-5 hours of personal work outside of Class, every week. (Recent review indicates loss of one Student in the early part of each 15-Week Class, as the amount of personal work outside of Class becomes evident, which the sponsoring President is grateful to learn – for the money that is saved. Note: Most of our Students come from companies who sent previous Students, who graduated, and are doing well.)

Every Class is videotaped, and every Student and her/his Supervisor receive a copy – the next day – after the Class. (We follow up with our Students, after graduation, usually after 60 days.)

Our next 15-Week Inside Sales Academy Class starts-up: January 13th, 2027.

My assessment of our associations sponsored sales training programs can be reduced to a few words: “Cheap – too often ‘A Band-Aid’ – The Bare Minimum.”

We decided to go the opposite direction… early on.

That’s made all the difference.

Dr. Harvey Levenson, Ray Prince, Dick Gorelick, Wanzie Collins, AmericanPrinter – and Andy & Julie Plata, and Sarah Ogburn, my Administrative Assistant, have all made significant contributions to my professional development and what we’ve accomplished.
