INTRODUCTION:
Similar printed and electronic statements….are being sent…. by every credit card…credit union…and bank – in the country – to their -- every customer.
Faced with late payment penalties… because of late mail…customers…are “signing-up”.
From this background…
I’m hearing USPS request… another postal increase – especially… for first-class mailers…like you and me….but NOT…from their special, dirt-cheap Amazon..and…all their other Big Box special contract shippers….!
SUMMARY:
Are we paying …our associations…to influence Washington’s decisions on how USPS is operating……? (Or…like too much else… are we expected to just “roll-over”…?)
It’s been said…and written…that… every extra dollar spent on postage…is a dollar less… going to the printer…to the copywriter….to the designer…to the publisher….to the agency….!
Reports…and complaints…to me…from publication printers, direct mail houses, and charitable fundraising organizations – just keep coming….!
Does anyone care……..about late mail deliveries…that are…sometimes as much as three months …. being processed…and delivered….?
I see USPS trucks making deliveries… in my neighborhood…on Sundays …that I’m of the opinion…you…and I…are paying for….but not your discount Big Box Shipper….!
The result of these outrageously late mail deliveries…is a savings on postage and printing…in the 100’s of millions…for credit card… credit unions…and banks…that you and I will pay for…through… higher postage costs…and postage fees….and less business.
This is a HOT BUTTON…or at least…should be…!
