Wide-Format Printing has been a lifeline for printing companies, especially during COVID-19 -- in a big way.  Recently I had an opportunity to speak with a Printing / Marketing Franchise organization that admitted their locations that offered Wide-Format Printing, notably has weathered the storm quite well.

The Association for PRINT Technologies (APTech) announced that registration is now open for its "Wide-Format Business Master Class." The six-week course is the first in APTech's new-for-2021 Master Class series and provides a complete blueprint for companies that wish to build a major revenue center around wide-format printing. The first session kicks off on March 30, 2021, from 1:30 pm-4:00 pm ET.

The "Wide-Format Business Master Class" is an in-depth course with 12-15 hours of instruction over six weeks and includes live instruction with well-known wide-format business expert Debbie Nicholson, President, Think-to-Ink! plus interviews with owners of new and successful wide-format business units and equipment and materials experts.

The six-week master class covers everything attendees should know to create a powerful wide-format profit center:

Week 1 – What is the Value of Wide-Format Printing?
Week 2 – How to Effectively Sell Wide-Format Printing
Week 3 – Synergy with Sales and Production
Week 4 – Migrate Offset Sales Staff Reps to Wide-Format Pros!
Week 5 – What You Should Know About Wide-Format Vertical Markets
Week 6 – Product Diversification Wins Major Projects!

Each session is interactive, with plenty of opportunity for live discussion and answers to questions. This course's target audience includes commercial printers, wide-format printers, and marketing service providers that may or may not have wide-format equipment but are ready to build a revenue center around this high-profit product segment. Attendees will graduate from this course with an actionable plan for each company area - leadership, sales, and operations.

APTech President Thayer Long said of the new course, "APTech is delighted to provide this timely, in-depth educational offering that is designed to help print businesses increase revenue and profits." He continued, "We encourage you to invite your leadership, sales, customer service, and operations teams to attend this essential course for any organization that wants to maximize its wide-format printing business."

Program leader Debbie Nicholson says, "Fully understanding the wide-format printing business can be difficult. There is a lot to know on the technical side with so many different ink sets, substrates, and hardware options. It is equally important to understand the best potential clients and progress toward becoming an Order Maker, not an Order Taker! My goal with this course is to ignite printers to think about the advantages of developing an actionable plan for moving their company to profitability!"

The registration fee is $499 for APTech members and $699 for non-members for the full six-week course. A 50% discount is also available for multiple class seats for people from the same company. Inquire with Julie Shaffer [email protected] about this offer.
