DATAMATX Successfully Meets Requirements for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard

March 13, 2018

ATLANTA, Ga, March 13, 2018—DATAMATX, a national outsourcing provider and leader in the distribution of critical business communications and payment services, announced it has once again met the rigorous certification requirements as a service provider for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) version 3.2.  As payment security continues to be a top priority for businesses and consumers, the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) has added stringent requirements, examining service provider change management processes, continuous monitoring, and maintaining seven critical security controls throughout the year.

Businesses are required to follow common-sense steps to protect cardholder data, including installation of firewalls, malware detection and protection, strong authentication controls, and extensive monitoring of network resources. To achieve PCI DSS v3.2 certification, service providers must demonstrate these controls during an on-site visit by a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA).

PCI DSS is just one facet of DATAMATX’s focus on data security, which includes rigorous audits such as SOC2+HITRUST and NIST 800-53 to comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). “We have dedicated extensive resources and implemented additional processes to ensure our clients continue to have the highest level of confidence in the managing and processing of their data by DATAMATX,” said Scott Stephens, COO of DATAMATX. “Meeting the strict requirements for PCI DSS version 3.2 ahead of schedule is a critical part of our company’s strong commitment to continually work to ensure we provide the highest level of compliance and security possible.”
