Toyo Kuwamura Retires from Canon U.S.A. and Canon Solutions America

Toyotsugu KuwamuraAfter 38 years with Canon, Toyotsugu (Toyo) Kuwamura has announced his retirement effective this July. Toyo is often referred to as the father of Canon Solutions America (CSA) created in 2013 a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc. through the integration of Canon Business Solutions, Inc. with Océ (acquired by Canon in 2010).

Mr. Kuwamura has served Canon in multiple capacities this past year.

Sam YoshidaAt Canon U.S.A. Toyo serves as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group (BISG). Mr. Shinichi (Sam) Yoshida who is currently Canon Canada’s Executive Vice President & General Manager, will assume that position.

Joe AdachiAt Canon Solutions America (CSA), Toyo is the Chairman and CEO. That position will be assumed by Mr. Joe Adachi, Chairman and CEO of Canon U.S.A. Sam Yoshida will, in addition to his Canon U.S.A. duties, be CSA’s Vice Chairman working with Mr. Peter Kowalczuk who will continue in his role as President of CSA.

 Joe Adachi, Chairman and CEO Canon U.S.A., Inc. said, “I am deeply appreciative to Mr. Kuwamura for his many years of outstanding service to Canon, and wish him all the best on his upcoming retirement.”

After his retirement, Toyo and his wife will be returning to Japan.
