Too Few Moments….. for Reflection.....

"...In ordinary life, we hardly realize that we receive a great deal more than we give, and that it is only with gratitude…. that life becomes rich…".........Dietrich Bonhoeffer

INTRODUCTION:

Company owners that I’ve been honored to serve…. have almost always left me with a sense of quiet, deep appreciation…. for what they were working to develop.

Often, no one could see their distinct vision…. but them…..but often, I would “buy-in” to what they wanted to create…..what they wanted their legacy to be…for those who would follow.

That tends to be a lonely, and with some frequency….. painful…..journey.

To develop a company, to pursue a vision….a dream…..to reinvest…. over….and over…to suffer repeated setbacks…..requires one to “continuously polish one’s heart….and soul”…and not just the company founder’s….but also the crew…..the team…..who came onboard…..for their part of the journey…..

In this great industry, we occupy a great fulcrum……we are stewards….of old and new technologies…and resources….influencing deep knowledge…and wisdom……. that fueled the Protestant Reformation…. …. that brought learning….and scientific discovery….and sharing of ideas…. that shapes our world going forward…….

Through our “Printing Press Technologies”…… we continue to shape communities, values, ideas……understanding…..and how we eventually….can learn to restore and preserve……our natural environment…….that we were given.

SUMMARY:

I have a special, private place……for publishers.

Theirs is a relentless challenge --- to keep a target community --- connected --- with content that educates, elevates……….and inspires.

Only a few publication production houses recognize the value of inspiring their publishers --- through useful, actionable --- content.

When you can, get yourself a copy of Pages, produced quarterly by Lane Press, S. Burlington, VT…..for its publishers………..

“Human history becomes more and more a race between education…….. and catastrophe”………………...H.G. Wells
