While this year's Graph Expo attendees saw fewer offset press exhibitors, software, service and supplies were out in force. Here is a selection of workflow, CTP and offset introductions, along with more news from the digital exhibitors (see our digital, MIS and postpress coverage in the November 2010 issue).
This year's show at Chicago's McCormick Place, October 3-6, attracted just under 20,000 attendees including exhibitors. Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) reports 12,552 “actual verified” (registered onsite and counted only once regardless of their number of days at the show or times they entered the exhibit hall) attendee/buyers from 69 countries. Show data reports reveal that while fewer attendees from each company were there, the show drew higher-level decision-makers from among the 7,171 unique buyer companies who came with budgets to spend on equipment, products, software and applications demonstrated by the 506 exhibitors, including 68 first-time exhibiting companies.
