Lyon, France-based Alwan is sponsoring free audits for Graph Expo visitors to ensure they meet ISO 12647 standards in a competition run by KEE Consultants. The companies are continuing their efforts to help the printing industry understand and adopt ISO 12647 standards by giving American printers the chance to win a valuable gap analysis audit.
The audit is designed to help printers implement ISO 12647 in their printing processes. To participate, visitors can register on the Alwan website or visit Alwan at either Digital Information booth 204 or Techkon’s booth 753.
Elie Khoury, founder and chair of KEE Consultants, comments, "Graph Expo represents an excellent opportunity to offer the American industry what hundreds of printers in the European and Asian markets are already enjoying – cost-effective and simple implementation of ISO 12647 standards.”
Dave Hunter, Alwan's representative in North America and a G7 expert, adds, "G7, ISO 12647 and American PSA are great opportunities for American printers to assess their production processes and ensure they meet international standards. Simple yet very efficient working practices and tools enable printers to not only match standards, but also to increase productivity and profit due to problem-free printing."
The remote audit is sponsored by Alwan and will be conducted from KEE Consultants’ headquarters in France. The audit comprises a comprehensive online questionnaire, and a set of forms that the printer will proof and print according to provided guidelines.
The audit covers all areas of the business, and will be concluded with a report advising on the systems and practices that need to be improved and / or implemented to achieve ISO 12647-2 conformity. See www.iso12647standardization.com.
