Now a wholly owned subsidiary of Shanghai Electric, Bolingbrook, IL-based Goss Intl. (www.gossinternational.com) represents Akiyama products in North America, including the M-600 Folia web-to-sheet press. New Goss Universal press models are now available for newspaper and semi-commercial applications.

Goss Lifetime Support now includes Goss ServiceFSA flexible service agreements that allow customers to purchase blocks of hours at discounted rates. The hours can then be used for maintenance, service and training.

  • Brown Printing Co. (www.bpc.com) bought the world's first Goss Sunday 3000 web press with a 75-inch web width, closed-loop color, and automated register and ribbon controls. The 4-unit, 32-page press will produce saddlestitched and perfect-bound product up to 9 inches wide. Startup in Waseca, MN, is expected in July 2011.

  • Japs-Olson Co. (www.japsolson.com) ordered a new 8-unit, gapless Goss Sunday 2000 web press at Graph Expo. It will have Autoplate and Automatic Transfer for direct mail production, allowing 4-color job changes on the fly. Installation will begin in St. Louis Park, MN, in mid-2011.

  • Dartmouth Printing Co., specializing in journal, magazine and catalog production, will install a new nine-unit Goss Sunday 2000 web press in early 2011 at its facility in Hanover, NH.
