Nine companies embrace ColorLok standard

At Paperworld in January, nine companies announced support for the ColorLok paper standard, with the goal of making better paper for better printing. April, Domtar, Epson, HP, International Paper (IP), Kodak, Mondi, M-Real and Suzano have agreed to support the performance standards of ColorLok papers. In addition, Epson, HP and Kodak will recommend the use of ColorLok paper with certain printer models.

ColorLok paper benefits reportedly include bolder, sharper images, faster dry times and improved readability across a range of printing devices. Papers that use the ColorLok logo must pass standards for print quality, as well as physical and electrostatic standards for quality and reliability.

More information on the ColorLok paper standard is available at www.colorlok.com.

The event will introduce attendees to the concepts and drivers of the sustainability and lean manufacturing trends, as well as show how lean tools are used to search for and eliminate production and environmental waste.

The seminars will take place from May 6 through August 28 in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, San Diego, Phoenix, Miami, Nashville, Boston and Baltimore/DC.
