Following Trelleborg’s acquisition of MacDermid Printing Blankets, which was finalized during Drupa 2008, the group has reorganized its sales management team for Vulcan and MacDermid.
The Vulcan brand of printing blankets was made part of Trelleborg when the Swedish company purchased Reeves Brothers in 2006. The group had approximately 400 employees and sales of about $91 Million in 2007.
George Christian, previously the sales director for MacDermid Printing Blankets in North America, has been appointed director of sales and marketing for the Americas and Canada, for both the Vulcan and MacDermid brand product lines.
“With the two organizations merging, I am excited about the opportunity it affords us to better serve the market,” says Christian. “It will allow us to bring best of class products and services to our customers. One of our primary objectives will be to provide total customer satisfaction to our broad customer base, as they are the ultimate judge of the quality of products and services we provide.”
Emanuele Taccon will continue to be responsible for Vulcan sales in Europe and Asia. He is located in Lodi, Italy. Stephane Starck will be responsible for the MacDermid (Rollin) sales in Europe.
