Sir Speedy of Naperville grows with Canon

Jul 1, 2008 1:56 PM

Canon Business Solutions (Burlington, NJ), a subsidiary of Canon USA, announces Sir Speedy of Naperville, IL, has implemented the Canon imagePRESS C7000VP digital color production press to improve its short-run and variable data printing services. Delivering print speeds of 70 ppm for letter-sized output in color and monochrome, the imagePRESS C7000VP also enables Sir Speedy to provide faster turnaround times and high image quality.

Sir Speedy uses Fusion Pro, a Web-based software solution that enhances the production of customized color and variable data printing (VDP) with the imagePRESS C7000VP to streamline the processes of creating, ordering, proofing, and processing varied print data. Sir Speedy will apply Fusion Pro to letters, flyers and other documents containing diverse text and images that would otherwise result in extensive production time and costs.

“We were at a point in our business where we had to decide whether to grow in line with our customer needs or remain stagnant. Canon’s new technology allowed us to expand our offering and subsequently meet the changing needs of customers. We thought if we are going to do it, we need to do it right,” says Julie Phillips, owner and president, Sir Speedy of Naperville. “With Canon’s technology, we foresee new productivity levels that will translate not only into business benefits for our organization, but for our customers as well.”
