SFI to host annual conference in September

The Sustainable Forestry Initiative Inc.'s (SFI) “2008 Annual Conference: From Forest to Store Shelf,” will explore the role of SFI certification in meeting and encouraging market demand throughout the supply chain. The conference will be held at the Hilton Minneapolis, September 23-25, 2008.

The conference will bring customers throughout the print, packaging and solid wood supply chain together with SFI Inc.'s grassroots network of implementation committees, consulting foresters, state and provincial agencies, loggers, academics, researchers and conservation groups. All are key players in improving the forest certification program, both on the ground and in the market.

More than 200 experts from across North America and around the world will discuss the latest forest certification, environmental and business trends, from carbon management in forestry to green building, illegal logging avoidance, and corporate social responsibility.
