St. Sauveur named 2007 Ben Franklin Award winner

The Printing & Publishing Council of New England has named Catherine (“Kitty”) St. Sauveur, president of Boston’s Alliance Print Group, the 2007 recipient of the Ben Franklin Award.

The award will be presented November 1, 2007, at the Industry Awards Gala hosted by Printing Industries of New England (PINE) at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel (Framingham, MA).

The award is given to an individual who has demonstrated a consistently generous and exemplary interest in the graphic arts for a substantial period of time. This award has been given annually since 1959, and St. Sauveur is the second woman to receive it.

St. Sauveur began her long career in the industry at Rapid Service Press, becoming the first female print sales representative in the Northeast. Immediate success led her in 1972 to Winthrop Printing Co. in Boston, where she began a 23-year career, first as sales manager and eventually as president of Winthrop.

As president of Alliance Print Group, St. Sauveur is a highly respected leader in the commercial and financial printing industry. Along with her partners, she founded Alliance 11 years ago. Since that time, the company has offered customers state-of-the-art technology, leveraging the wide variety of equipment and expertise available in the marketplace.
