ProGraphics installs fourth Komori press

Atlanta printer ProGraphics Communications has installed a 40-inch Lithrone S Series (LS640) from Komori America Corp. (Rolling Meadows, IL).
For more than 20 years, ProGraphics has honed its reputation as an innovative full-service commercial printer by providing consulting, prepress, printing, bindery and fulfillment to the telecommunications and healthcare industries, as well as colleges, universities and advertising agencies. ProGraphics added the LS640 to its 70,000-sq.-ft. operation to increase productivity and speed time to market when creating time-sensitive, high-quality materials. Taking advantage of the LS640’s quick makeready and run speeds will help ProGraphics significantly increase its press capabilities.
Key drivers in purchasing the new press includes the fact the LS640 delivers a fully automated, real-world solution that makes it possible to significantly reduce job cycle times, improve productivity and increase profitability with today’s shorter run printing work.
“In order to stay competitive in this on-demand market, we needed a press that would increase our productivity and shorten lead times,” says John Pope, president, ProGraphics Communications. “For years, our company has turned to Komori because they ensure a high quality product to help meet our clients’ needs. This time wasn’t any different. When we sought to enhance our printing and production capabilities, Komori delivered the LS640 to address our business needs and ultimately foster additional growth.”
