Xerox, KPG end reseller agreement
Dec 15, 2003 12:00 PM, AP staff
Xerox Corp. (Rochester, NY) and Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) (Norwalk, CT) have agreed to end a reseller agreement in the U.S., under which KPG sold Xerox midrange and entry-level production equipment and related products.
Effective Jan. 1, KPG will discontinue sales of the Xerox DocuColor 2045, 2060, 6060 and 5252 digital color presses, as well as the Xerox DocuColor 3535 and 12 color copier-printers. Xerox will continue its service and support of the equipment that was sold by KPG. “Both companies have determined that the time is right to pursue alternate strategies,” says John Schloff, KPG staff vice president, digital printing.
Xerox will continue to market the KPG Matchprint Professional Server as a color front-end for the DocuColor 12.
