Schawk acquires Virtualcolor, Pixxon

Schawk, Inc. (Des Plaines, IL) has acquired Virtualcolor (Elk Grove, IL), the prepress facility of Ft. Dearborn Co. Schawk will provide prepress services to Ft. Dearborn’s print business for an initial period of five years. Virtualcolor’s graphic service business will relocate to Schawk’s facility in suburban Chicago.

Schawk has also acquired certain assets of graphic-arts company Pixxon, Inc. (San Francisco). Pixxon has been renamed Schawk San Francisco.
