Martin Yale to acquire Schleicher & Co.

Martin Yale Industries, Inc. (Wabash, IN) has acquired Schleicher & Co. International, AG (Germany), reportedly creating the largest U.S. company serving the office products and graphics marketplace. The combined entities will operate as the Martin Yale Group; U.S. companies will be known as Martin Yale Industries and operations outside of the U.S. will be known as Martin Yale International. Executive personnel will include Dr. E. Leopold Dieck, president; Jack Costelloe, president, worldwide sales; Elisabeth Baumann, vice president, consolidated finance of the Martin Yale Group. Don Currie, vice president, sales, retains the responsibility for the Wabash office products division.
