EFI, Xerox donate software, equipment to Cal Poly
Jun 4, 2003 12:00 PM, AP staff
Electronics For Imaging (EFI) (Foster City, CA) and Xerox Corp. (Rochester, NY) have donated a Fiery EX2000d server with Fiery Graphic Arts Package and a Xerox DocuColor 2060 digital color press to California Polytechnic State University's Graphic Communication Dept. (Cal Poly) (San Luis Obispo, CA). EFI and Xerox are also volunteering time for installation and support of their respective devices. Installation was completed in April.
"This donation will add tremendously to the education of our students pursuing degrees in graphic communication," says Harvey Levenson, Ph. D., department head, Cal Poly. "The ability for students to interact with the industry's leading digital-printing tools and 'learn by doing' is what the Cal Poly learning philosophy is all about."
