Creo donates printing equipment to RIT
May 23, 2003 12:00 PM, AP Staff
Creo Inc. donated a Trendsetter VLF thermal computer-to-plate system and the Prinergy workflow management system to the Rochester Institute of Technology’s (RIT) School of Print Media. Frank Romano, RIT’s Roger K. Fawcett distinguished professor of digital publishing, says, "If not for the generosity and support of Creo, we would be unable to create an advanced prepress and printing facility." RIT’s School of Print Media is internationally known as a leading institution for graphic arts education. Romano explains that because of Creo’s donation, the students are able to practice upon the actual equipment being used in pressrooms, so "RIT graduates are better able to meet the needs of [the graphic arts] industry."
As an investment in the growth of the graphic arts community, Creo supports worldwide education and cultural facilities with products and services.
