Boise shareholders approve OfficeMax acquisition

Boise Cascade Corp. (Boise, ID) has announced that 76.77 percent of its shareholders voted in favor of the acquisition of OfficeMax, Inc. (Shaker Heights, OH). With 72.49 percent of the outstanding shares represented, the acquisition proposal requirement for a majority vote was met. A second proposal had 53.34 percent of the voted shares by Boise shareholders in favor of an increase in the number of shares of Boise common stock, available for issuance under the company’s incentive compensation plan.
