APPLICATIONS TECHNOLOGIST

Arjobex America,

located in Charlotte, NC, is a leading manufacturer of “synthetic paper”. We are a profitable subsidiary of the international ArjoWiggins/Worms group, a global, diversified multi-product, multi-billion dollar organization.

Job responsibilities:

• Provide technical service support & trials for customers

• 
  

• Participate in the development & introduction of new products for existing & new applications

• 
  

• Improvement in products based on the field/customer requirements & expectations

• 
  

• Liaison between Sales & Marketing and Technical colleagues to achieve business objectives

Requirements include:

• BS degree in Chemistry, Process Technology, Material Sciences, or related Engineering discipline

• 
  

• 5-7 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in plastics, paper, or coating processing industry

• 
  

• Experience in Process Control, SPC, and other statistical techniques.

• 
  

• Exposure to Design of Experiment (DOE); quality related responsibilities

• 
  

• Self motivated problem solver; hands-on individual with good analytical skills

• 
  

• Project a strong sense of urgency & a strong desire to succeed

• 
  

• Availability to travel

This is a specialized customer technical support and development position requiring an energetic, experienced technologist who has a detailed knowledge of plastic conversion processes specifically for roll-fed applications as well as a good knowledge of materials used in these processes (e.g. adhesives, etc.)
