PIASD seeks scholarship nominees
Apr 4, 2007 3:46 PM
The Printing Industries Association of San Diego (PIA/SD) is accepting scholarship applications for the 2007-08 school year. PIA/SD offers funding through its Scholarship 2000 program, which was founded in 1987 to encourage and support students interested in a career in the printing industry. Scholarships are awarded each year to students pursuing post-secondary education in printing production.
Students who plan to attend a printing education program at college are eligible to apply. (Screen printing and graphic design students do not qualify.) Scholarship recipients may apply for funds for up to one year’s tuition, books and fees. Qualified applicants include those who live in San Diego or who are originally from San Diego. The print industry employs approximately 7,000 people in San Diego.
Visit piasd.org to download the application. The submission deadline is Friday, April 13, 2007.
