Oce’s (Trumbull, CT) VarioStream 9240 and ColorStream 10000 color production printing systems, supported by Océ Prisma workflow software, have been approved for use of PMS colors and the Pantone Goe system colors.
“We are pleased to enhance our partnership with Oce, a leading supplier of printing technology and systems,” says Andy Hatkoff, vice president of Pantone’s advanced color technology division. “Customers using Oce systems can be assured they are getting the best possible representations of PMS and Pantone Goe colors for their color-critical jobs.”
The Oce VarioStream 9240 system is built for black-and-white, one or two spot colors, or CMYK 4-color process printing. Users pay for only what they print while gaining the added flexibility of using only one machine running at appropriate speeds. Even when fully configured as a four-color press, the system can print monochrome documents at 852 ppm, and two- and three-color documents at 353 and 231 ppm, respectively.
The 172 ipm ColorStream 10000 is rated for over five million full-color, letter-size images per month. With monochrome jobs running at 852 ipm and jobs that mix color and monochrome pages, the duty cycle goes even higher.
