The 2007 National Environmental Health & Safety (NEHS) Conference in Jacksonville, FL, March 12-14, will offer expanded coverage of business compliance and planning issues.
The conference, sponsored in part by SGIA, has added 12 roundtable discussions on top of its regular lineup of 12 break-out sessions. Attendees will get the latest updates and emerging trends on:
- Federal environmental regulatory actions.
- Recent and innovating changes to state air permitting issues.
- Safety workplace tips that can be implemented easily.
“Not only do specialty imagers get ahead of the curve, they also gain from their peers’ experiences,” says Marci Kinter, SGIA’s vice president for government and business information. “This is their only chance for the year to talk with environmental, health and safety professionals within the industry and get the contacts they’ll need to use when facing issues at their shops,” she said.
In addition to extensive seminars, the conference will offer a free introductory class on the Occupational Safety & Health Administration and how the agency works.
There also will be a hands-on workshop for calculating volatile organic compound emissions, and a 10-hour training session that goes further into OSHA rules and programs.
The conference costs $495 for SGIA members; $695 for nonmembers. Companies with fewer than 20 employees get a special discounted rate. Register by February 12 to get the early-bird registration price and enter to win an iPod Nano.
