LA printer adds Mitsubishi Diamond press

Jul 1, 2008 1:59 PM

Digital Room, Inc. and U-Printing Network (Los Angeles), a pioneer in digital printing and online printing, has installed a four-color Mitsubishi (Lincolnshire, IL) Diamond 3000S sheetfed press with aqueous coater.

"We purchased the Mitsubishi press to complement our existing presses and innovative workflow to allow U-Printing to process offset projects faster, without sacrificing print quality," says Ronnie Mesriani, founder and CEO.

Operating two shifts a day, five days a week, U-Printing caters to small and midsize businesses nationwide. The printer utilizes digital presses and 28-inch and 40-inch sheetfed presses to deliver brochures, business cards, postcards, catalogs, stationery and other diverse business products, along with large-format posters and banners for indoor and outdoor display purposes.

"Our primary strength is in our custom automated printing processes and programs like our U-Design process, our famous Free Project Review and our U-Page custom sizing program," says Mesriani.

U-Printing outfitted the Diamond 3000S with an X-Rite color management system. Other technology incorporated into the press to achieve the desired print quality on the first pull range from press presets and wash-up systems to plate changers and console-controlled functions. These features keep waste down and enable faster makereadies for more profitable runs.

"The Diamond 3000S prints 28 x 40-inch sheets and is capable of very efficient and accurate results," Mesriani adds. "We were impressed with the speed of the press, both in printing and plate setting, as well as the print quality."
