ICS, Graphics Microsystems announce alliance

Integrated Color Solutions (ICS) (New York City) has announced a strategic alliance with Graphics Microsystems, Inc. (GMI) (Sunnyvale, CA), to promote the use of ICS’s Remote Director contract proofing system on web presses with GMI control systems.

The spectral engine in GMI’s ColorQuick on-web, closed-loop color-control system reportedly is capable of verifying CIE L*a*b color information supplied by the color-accurate proof produced by Remote Director. The ColorQuick system also is said to guarantee accurate ink density for closed-loop control as well as colorimetric and spectral reports at press-side.
