EFI Connect to convene in June

EFI (Foster City, CA) has opened online registration for the sixth annual Connect users’ conference, taking place June 12-15, 2005, at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida.
The four-day conference will offer participants an opportunity to discuss industry trends, test drive the latest EFI software, exchange ideas and attend educational and keynote sessions. New this year is a focused track for each printer specialization, including an “On-demand/Digital” track for PrintSmith users considering digital printing; a “Commercial” track offering sessions specific to Hagen, Logic and PSI users; and a “Profit” track highlighting best practices and ideas for all phases of print management and production.
Captain James Lovell of the Apollo 13 mission will keynote opening night, Sunday, June 12. Says Marc Olin, vice president/GM of EFI’s Commercial Print Systems, “Captain Lovell will deliver a powerful and inspirational opening keynote to get everyone energized and ready for the rest of the conference.”
Registration fees: March 31 and earlier, $695; April 1 to May 1, $795; after May 1, $895. Fees for the special PrintSmith agenda: March 31 and earlier, $495; April 1 to May 1, $595; after May 1, $695.
