Domtar pledges next-day delivery

Dec 15, 2004 1:04 PM

Domtar (Montreal, Quebec) has expanded its distribution capabilities with a new warehouse in Los Angeles to better serve Southern California paper buyers between Bakersfield and San Diego, and Santa Barbara and Palm Desert. Domtar business, commercial printing and designer papers ordered by 1 p.m. for delivery within this region are now guaranteed to arrive the next business day.

Don Butts, Domtar’s vice president of sales for North America, says, “Today’s printers and graphics professionals face competitive pressures that make just-in-time paper delivery a tremendous value. [The new distribution facility] makes Domtar papers more available, reducing your inventories on our most popular grades.”

The next-day service pledge includes Domtar’s business, designer and commercial printing papers.

The Los Angeles distribution center is the third Domtar has opened in the past year to better serve its customers. The other new facilities are in Chicago and Dallas.
