Aug 16, 2004 10:26 AM, AP staff
As part of the Honeywell Team SRX (Sense and Respond eXperimenation), Banta Corp. (Menasha, WI) will join a team of technology leaders in experiments aimed at cutting time and cost from advanced defense systems. The program, led by Honeywell's Defense and Space Electronics Systems unit, also includes members Jabil Circuit, IBM, Arbortext and the University of Southern Florida. Team SRX will experiment with sense and respond processes to deliver fast response to military forces in the field and quick replenishment of military consumables, via information hubs and data repositories. Critical components include open standards, networked information exchange, semantic technologies and integrated commercial military manufacturing. Honeywell and Team SRX plan to develop and staff a technology center in Colebrook, NH.
