Standard to sell Akiyama presses in GA, FL

Akiyama Intl. (Cerritos, CA) has selected Standard Graphic Systems, Inc. (Norcross, GA) to exclusively represent it’s new product line in Georgia and Florida. The company also sells products from Hamada, Duplo, Mitsubishi, Perfecta, and Pro-Cut.
Having developed a following for Hamada’s automated, 14 x 20-inch, four-color B452, Standard says the logical progression to the half- and full-size market made Akiyama a perfect fit. Akiyama’s Bestech press is available in 28- and 40-inch formats. Its triple and quadruple-size cylinders print heavyweight stocks without marking and greatly reduce the space requirement for the press. Next is the Jprint, Akiyama’s answer to perfecting. The Jprint perfector does not require flipping the sheet, as the gripper remains constant. Additionally, its over/under design has fewer transfers and requires much less floor space than competitive machines.
This year at Print 05, Akiyama will be introducing its newest product to the U.S. market: the eXtreme. Available in 29- and 40-inch sheet sizes, it will run up to 40-pt. board, runs at 16,000 sph maximum and can be configured for UV.
