Xeikon International (Mortsel, Belgium) announced that it will stop the market introduction of its sheetfed digital color press, the CSP 320 D.
The company instead will focus its resources well established products, including the web-fed DCP product family. This is the first in a series of strategic decisions from Xeikon since Punch International acquired the company in March 2002.
"The CSP 320 D is an outstanding and unique product, which offered valuable advancements in technology," says Jan Van Daele, CEO of Xeikon International. "Some unique technological concepts developed for the CSP product line remain valuable parts of our portfolio. These will be secured and further developed, and may be incorporated into future products."
Xeikon is evaluating the situation of the existing CSP customers on an individual basis.
