Sappi Fine Paper North America (Boston) is restructuring corporate staff functions at its headquarters and various sales and corporate offices across the U.S. As part of the streamlining, approximately 100 positions have been eliminated, or 10 percent of the salaried workforce. The restructuring results from the closure of Sappi’s Mobile, AL, mill earlier this year; the company hopes it will also improve its competitiveness.
