Muller Martini Corp. (Hauppauge, NY) has launched a new Digital Finishing Division designed to bring professional binding capabilities to on-demand, variable-data and one-to-one workflows.
According to Andrew J. Fetherman, manager of the new division, Muller Martini is working to adapt the technology from some of its high-volume machines and scale it to the digital workflow. The division’s first product line, the AmigoDigital perfect binding system, has already been introduced. The new model incorporates the best features of the AmigoPlus and combines them with workflow components that allow digitally driven facilities to produce professional quality perfect-bound books, online or nearline.
