Agfa Monotype Corp. (Wilmington, MA) and Lucid Dream Software, Inc., (Hoffman Estates, IL), have announced that Lucid Dream has licensed Agfa Monotype's color screening technologies.
Lucid Dream will integrate the screening capabilities as part of a software upgrade that provides customers with 1-bit TIFF connectivity options.
"To allow our Delta RIP customers the ability to connect to a variety of output devices, we recently added support for 1-bit TIFFs to TIFF/ITflow(tm), our product that enhances productivity on these RIPs," said David Lewis, president of Lucid Dream Software. "Support for 1-bit TIFF entailed the implementation of screening technology. After evaluating numerous options, we chose Agfa Monotype."
