Konica Business Technologies, Inc. (Windsor, CT), has formed Konica Professional Services and Support (KPSS) group to deliver the engineering and service support for its document processing systems.

KPSS unites a diversity of skill sets and experience under one organization. As a result, Konica will now have over 80 engineers with a broad range of support capabilities and certifications from the mainframe to the workgroup environment committed to the document process engineering initiatives of KPSS.

These initiatives include:

  • design and implementation of workflow systems, utilizing Konica's third-party and homegrown software applications

  • engineering, solutions analysis and service support to Konica's dealers, key account teams and customers

  • delivery of network services and hardware to customers and channels

  • field technical assistance in cooperation with the telephone and Web support provided by Konica's National Systems Solutions Group (NSSG) and

  • project management support

  • DeWayne Cusick, a 10-year Konica veteran, will head the new group. The former director of Konica's NSSG will utilize his knowledge of Konica's technical and systems integration support and services to launch and direct KPSS. To ensure close coordination of KPSS's efforts with the entire field organization, Cusick will report directly to Thomas Dillon, vice president of Konica's technical operations.
