Extensis, Inc. (Portland,OR) a software developer for creative professionals, has announced the sale of creativepro.com to Montana-based PrintingforLess.com (PFL). PFL has acquired the rights and assets related to the creativepro.com portal.
Launched by Extensis, Inc. in August of 1999, creativepro.com serves as avertical portal providing online content and resources for the print and Web publishing communities. Both companies operated as independent business units until June of 2000 when ImageX (NASDAQ:IMGX) acquired both Extensis, Inc. and the creativepro.com brand.
"We are very proud of the reputation creativepro.com has earned over the past two years," said Craig Keudell, General Manager of Extensis. "We are confident that the journalistic integrity and valuable resources the site provides will continue to flourish under the ownership of PrintingForLess.com."
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Extensis and its long line of software products servicing creative professionals will not be affected and Extensis will continue to serve its growing customer base without interruption. Extensis' award-winning product lines include: the newest version of its font management tool, Suitcase 10, Portfolio for asset management, Preflight Online for digital file inspection and delivery, and multiple creativity tools for Photoshop and QuarkXPress.
