ROLE OBJECTIVE:
Maximize profit and provide technical excellence through improvements of production equipment and strive to improve production quality through implementation of new equipment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Design and program automation equipment for Ft. Wayne.

  • Optimize the existing automated equipment, instrumentation, and gauging.

  • Lead capital projects, focusing on drives, controls and programming PLC.

  • Analyze efficiency of all slitters / coaters periodically.

  • Maintain / improve PLC network.

  • Educate the engineers & maintenance on FTW control systems/drives.

  • Embrace and lead the control systems strategy of Avery Dennison.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:

  • B.S. Electrical Engineering, emphasis in controls and drives.

  • 5 to 7 years manufacturing experience.

  • 2 to 4 years in automation engineering, PLC, controls, troubleshooting of AC & DC drives.

  • Experience in managing large capital projects.

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, rapport with Operations and Maintenance.

  • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint and Autocad.
