Shareholders at Check Technology Corp. (Minneapolis), a manufacturer of printing systems for financial, security, forms and commercial printers, have approved the company’s name change to Delphax Technologies Inc.
"The change in name reflects the substantially greater breadth of our current product offering and market opportunities," says Jay Herman, chairman and CEO. He notes that the company has evolved from a manufacturer of check-printing equipment to a provider of digital printing technologies to multiple markets. The company recently acquired Delphax Systems, which brought with it a range of digital printing products.
Herman says that the company’s objective is to penetrate alternative markets for sheetfed printing equipment on the strength of Delphax Technologies’ Imaggia digital print system.
