May 1, 2002 12:00 PM
GATF has cleared the decks in its research and training facility in Sewickley, PA, to make way for a new four-unit MAN Roland Rotoman web-offset press. The press, a donation from the manufacturer, is scheduled to be installed in May, and should be running by early summer.
“We want to make sure one of the industry's top research and educational powers is equipped with some of the best high-volume technology the industry has to offer,” says Christian Cerfontaine, marketing director of MAN Roland's North American division (Westmont, IL).
GATF's Rotoman is integrated with a 1:2:3 combination folder and is rated at 65,000 impressions per hour. It will be equipped with Power Plate Loading, AC shaftless drives and MAN Roland's Pecom control system.
