CARD-INDUSTRY TRAINING PROGRAM

The International Card Manufacturers Assn. (ICMA) (Princeton Junction, NJ), a non-profit association for card manufacturers, personalizers and service providers, recently launched its Basics of the Card Industry training program at www.icma.com. The program provides the history of and technical information about cards of all types, as well as manufacturing, personalization and application processes. Contents include card markets, industry scope, card-product categories, plastic-card manufacturing, materials and components overview, post manufacturing, industry trade associations, and a glossary of industry terms. ICMA members and their employees have free access to the training program.
