AMERICAN PRINTER news, events, and information on next month's issue
Arandell goes with the process flow ...
Editor Katherine O’Brien and managing editor Denise Kapel recently toured Arandell Corp.’s Menomonee Falls, WI, facility. "Officially, we’re printers," says Don Treis, chief executive officer. "But we’re really processors of information."
Arandell, the fourth largest U.S. catalog printer, is doing some interesting stochastic work. Look for the inside scoop from Jim Giencke, Arandell’s technology guru and chief operating officer, in our next issue. (See www.arandell.com.)
... While QuadTech controls color and registration
Denise and Katherine apparently can’t get enough of Wisconsin, because they also went to Sussex to catch up with QuadTech (www.quadtechworld.com). As QuadTech director of communications Sharon Quint noted, it’s very convenient for the company to field-test its registration and closed-loop color control systems. Parent company Quad/Graphics is right across the street. Look for more information in April. We’ve also got some great closed-loop color control articles in our online archives.
