Neuried, 3rd April 2014. Members and partners of the PrintCity Alliance will be showing a joint exhibition for the first time at Interpack in Düsseldorf. The focus of the presentation on Stand B04 in Hall 11 will be on differentiation at the point of sale through Value Added Packaging.

How can packaging contribute to a product's success at the point of sale? What functional and decorative innovations turn shopping into an emotional experience?
New finishing techniques, smart packaging, efficient production technologies and digital printing present answers for brand owners, designers and marketing strategists. A host of folding cartons with high-end finishing – produced in a cooperative project of the members and numerous partners of the Alliance – give inspiration and illustrate the wide range of possibilities: High-quality substrates, hot and cold foil stamping, holograms, effect and protective coatings and pigments.
New production techniques create new possibilities
Inline production systems combine various printing and finishing techniques and can be used to produce fully finished cartons straight from the reel in a single cycle. Economical production of a kind that would have been inconceivable just a few years ago.
Digital printing makes it possible to produce increasingly short runs in ever-shorter processing times. This permits the realisation of new marketing concepts for addressing customers better and more directly. Almost every substrate can be processed using the new liquid toner technology.
