At Ipex 2010, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) will introduce the new Dual Top Loader for the Suprasetter A52/A75. It enables fully automated plate feed of two different plate sizes.

Since October 2009, Heidelberg reports a higher plate throughput has resulted in a 58% increase in productivity on these CTP models. With the Auto Top Loader or new Dual Top Loader mounted directly on top of the imaging unit, the entire device can fit into a 28-sq.-ft. space.

A new, additional imaging option, “High Resolution 5080dpi,” enables security printing applications such as banknotes, guilloches, and certificates to be imaged in maximum resolution.

All Suprasetter models can be integrated into the Prinect print shop workflow.

The entry-level models in the Suprasetter series consume a low 0.7 kilowatts/hr. and can image conventional and chemistry-free plates.

Saphira Chemfree

Saphira Chemfree Thermal Plates are negative-working offset plates with a Micro Sphere Coating that provides high quality and daylight handling. The plates enable an expose/gum/print process and require no special inks or fountain solutions. Run length is up to 100,000 impressions in normal conditions, and the plates image at up to 200 lpi.
