Are You…Uncomfortable….Yet…?

“From what we’ve all learned, we’ll radically change the financial performance….and value…. of each organization here.…plus… obviously have the tools to go selectively hunting for other companies…that don’t know what we now know… Why do you think there were not more organizations here --- in attendance?”  ......Plant Manager (and Part-Owner), Attending our Pressroom Performance Improvement Workshop

INTRODUCTION:
Two long days of collaborative discussions --- breaking down mental barriers…..and one late-night, profound --- homework assignment.

Break Down the BarriersThat’s generally what’s required to “break-down the barriers of denial” --- including “hard-crusted, decades-old habits and perceptions” --- while also developing trust --- for “open discussions, and collaboration” --- of what is not just possible --- but practical…… and quickly --- achievable.

Reasons I’ve recorded over the last year, from owners --- who just couldn’t send key production personnel to our Pressroom Performance Improvement Workshop, while we were promising --- a minimum…multiple-six figures….of performance improvements:

1. We just don’t have two people we can break-loose to go…. at this time…..

2. I don’t have anyone who wants to go (including…our Plant Manager)…..

3. We’re too busy at this time --- call me next time….

4. We’ve got too much already scheduled…..

5. We’d much prefer to Host the Program….

6. I don’t know how sending two folks would affect their families… even though you promised us $7,000 a week, minimum --- in performance improvements --- for our Pressroom…..

7. This just isn’t a good time….but keep us on your list to contact……

There’s one more point I’d like to make:

IdeasThe biggest improvement opportunities --- most recently, came from an organization that was attending --- in the spirit of “dramatic Continuous Improvement” --- for the third time. Five attendees from their organization --- produced nothing short of dramatic insights of “newly discovered options --- of…what could be” --- that they never saw before…..They left the Workshop --- developing a Written Plan, --- and seeing each other’s roles….each other’s contributions --- as a Team --- in their company --- much differently…. much expanded.

SUMMARY:
To put an extra $1,000,000 + + on your bottom-line….. you and your organization may have to do something (…. or several something’s)…..differently….

I don’t believe that condition can be helped….

When I returned home…. near midnight…..at the end of that long week…… I slept well.

And….I believe Mr. Ray Prince….slept well. (Mr. Prince is our Technical Expert.)
