What Determines… Who Is Still Here --- In Five Years……?

INTRODUCTION:
Do we see ourselves…. do we see what’s missing in our thinking…….and our vision…….and what that can ultimately cost us……?

Money Cost

I had asked the Plant Manager, “Would you please explain to me, with your seven major presses, that would deliver --- a minimum --- of well over $7,000 a week (and most probably --- much, much more than that) --- in additional bottom-line margin and revenues….how you can not send two Pressmen and Supervisors --- to attend this Pressroom Workshop --- how you’d like to wait until September….to attend ---- I’d like to understand that…?”

His somewhat delayed response…. included: “We have no problem Hosting a Pressroom Workshop…at the higher Fee (since that would allow us to have Multiple Pressmen --- and Dept. Supervisors attending --- while saving on their travel, lodging and meals)….and….in the meantime, could we begin discussing the profound Homework Assignment you offer…..I’ll be glad to pay the Attendee Fee….if we can go forward on that Homework Assignment…….?”

How much “financial management thinking” …. do you offer to…and encourage…. your Plant Manager to learn….to exercise….…to pursue…….?

Is it only about “all orders delivered on-time…?” …………….I think not…..

I hope not….

Tough Get GoingAt some point, it’s too late to catch-up…..!

SUMMARY:
The few organizations that are leaping ahead through profound process improvements… of multiple designs --- and particularly in capital intensive departments --- --- can be counted on to exceed……...published association “Profit Leader” results.

We’ve seen the results……we’ve assisted creating those results….and…. we know why these “True Profit Leaders” --- all but refuse to publicize their “Off-The-Charts” --- radically improving bottom-line performances.
