Great Company Strategy… Includes… Employee Ownership in Company Success

INTRODUCTION:
ImaginationHow would you like to grow 22%, year after year --- with growing profitability…?

I had the honor of visiting such a company last weekend……They gave me permission to write about… “part….of their successful strategy”.

It deals with their employees…… there’s almost no turnover of personnel. I’m of the opinion that you can’t hire their personnel away…. in fact ….just the opposite sometimes occurs ……competitors top employees put in an application…at this company.

Part of their successful Strategy for repeated growth……?

They have an insightful profit-sharing plan…that’s awarded quarterly…. representing about a month’s extra pay… to each employee……. each year.

Specifically: Employees receive 10% of their share of expected profitability --- at the end of the first quarter…. 20% at the end of the second quarter…. 30% at the end of the third quarter…. and 40% --- at the end of the fourth quarter.

Everyone has a stake… in continued success of the organization….!

Everyone cares and supports every other employee --- pulling their weight for company success….!

When the owners sometimes consider bringing-in part-time help for overloads of work, current employees say, “Don’t do it….….. it reduces the company’s profitability..… and part-time personnel seldom produce the quality of work that committed employees produce.”

The company was started about 2008 --- with the owners having no experience in our great industry…… that had to be tough……… but they believe that lack of experience allowed them to look more objectively at everything they did…… and last year, revenues grew well over 22%, again…. to almost $10,000,000.
