Baltimore-based Three Dog Logistics announces a new service designed for customers who handle inbound and outbound freight in their businesses. The new division, called Three Dog Freight, complements the company’s mail delivery services.
“In this economy, keeping costs down is still top-of-mind for most business owners. Freight Rover is designed to let companies make more informed inbound and outbound transportation decisions, by letting them easily see competitive prices and schedules that meet their shipping needs. We’ve done this for clients who handle a lot of mail, and have helped those businesses save money on postage. Now its time to do the same thing for freight,” says John Kennedy, “Top Dog” of Three Dog Logistics.
Kennedy explains, “We took the same user-friendly capabilities of Mail Rover and applied them to freight industry. Then we added some very robust features for comparing rates and schedules. The end result is Freight Rover.” Freight Rover automates many of the manual steps to compare carriers and rates, and also produces the necessary shipping documents. Once shipped, the customer can track their shipment and produce reports from a dashboard. Freight Rover handles both regional and long haul shipments, as well as international.
