So much more

With the wide variety of postpress offerings at Print 09, we needed three issues to cover it all. See “Last (but not least)” for products from Domino, Heidelberg, Pemco Standard Finishing, Spiel and Videojet. For more inserters, inkjet addressing and related mailing introductions at PRINT 09, see “Efficient mailing,” (September). Featured companies include Böwe Bell + Howell, Buhrs, Duplo, Heidelberg, InfoPrint, Standard Finishing, Pitney Bowes, Rollem and Xanté.

Pushing the ‘Invelope,’ inserters and mailpiece verification

Böwe Bell + Howell (Wheeling, IL) highlights included the following:

BBH 150 inserting system targets the high-volume direct-mail environment where Standard Mail makes up the bulk of the applications. It can produce up to 16,000 letters and 10,000 flats envelopes per hour. The BBH 150 is built on an inline process that reduces stoppages, increases uptime and simplifies overall operation.

MAILStream Inveloper combines envelope manufacturing and mailpiece assembly into a single, efficient process at speeds up to 30,000 mailpieces per hour. It is designed for high-speed First Class mail applications for high-volume production mailers such as utilities and financial institutions, or service bureaus.

Roll-fed material replaces traditional envelopes. The document packet, which can include a statement, business reply envelope and optional inserts, is “inveloped” at high speed.

Combo14 inserting system has been upgraded to process envelopes at rated speeds up to 14,000 cycles per hour for No. 10 letters and 6 x 9 inches, and up to 9,000 cph for flats.

Pinnacle VIP inserter, a gripper-arm system, handles letters, 6 x 9 inches and stretch. Applications range from standard inserts to marketing magnets, multiple input and matching processing.

Plastic Card System provides selective intelligent card matching (credit, debit, loyalty and gift card) to preprinted 11 x 17-inch transpromo carriers at up to 9,000 cards per hour.

JETVision's content verification module lets users count and validate the number of pages and inserts in a closed envelope. It can handle dynamic or fixed-page counts, including the addition of targeted marketing inserts.

BöWE One software suite offers a modular and scalable solution for ADF environments.
